the Hexham Heads. two stone heads dug up in a garden and then a wolf-thing walking down the stairs

Northumberland, 1971. Two lads, the Robson boys, digging in the back garden in Hexham and they turn up two little stone heads, maybe 6cm. Greeny-grey stone with quartz in it. One looks like a skull with stripey hair, the other's a hag with bulging eyes, beak nose, bit of old red and yellow paint lef……
