the obelisk that cracked and broke Hatshepsuts heart (Aswan)

everyone gushes about the obelisks that made it to rome and paris and central park. i went to Aswan to see the one that DIDNT. its still in the red granite quarry, lying on its back, three sides cut free, the bottom still glued to the bedrock. they reckon Hatshepsut, 18th dynasty around 1470ish BC, ……
