The 'tired stones' of Ollantaytambo — they crossed a RIVER going the wrong way uphill

This is my favorite Andean head-scratcher and barely anyone outside Peru knows it. The Sun Temple terrace at Ollantaytambo is built from huge rhyolite/porphyry monoliths, the big six-monolith wall. Problem: the quarry, Cachicata, is on the OTHER side of the Urubamba valley, up the opposite mountain……
